New Technical Paper: Canadian Stock Exchange Reporting Requirements
The presentation made by Clinton Smyth, President of Georeference Online Ltd,
to the PDAC Convention in Toronto in March 2001 has been added to this site.
The paper highlights some of the technical benefits to geology of National
Instrument 43-101, legislation recently introduced in Canada to enhance the
quality of reports issued by exploration and mining companies listed on
the country's stock exchanges.
It draws attention to geological standardisation initiatives in the UK, the
USA and Australia, and suggests that some of these may have a role in Canada.
A role for internationally relevant Canadian geological standards is also
discussed. Hyperlinks to most of the web sites discussed appear in the
paper.
The paper may be viewed here.
