Presented below, in two parts, is a an exposition, by Dr. Dani Alldrick, on the nature of the Eskay Rift in northern British Columbia - a rift which developed one of the highest-grade gold/silver deposits in the world. It is especially interesting for its comparison with the African Rift Valley, where the latter plunges into the sea on the horn of Africa. This presentation was made in a warehouse in Smithers, BC, in 2007 to a group of geologists and prospectors trying to find another Eskay Creek deposit. It’s like Neil Young’s songs. It has not aged.
